| Campsite - Bed & Breakfast - Chalets |
|
We, Pim, Mireille and our children, Amy 5 years, Marijn 3 years and Anna-Lotte 2 years have moved to Italy in September 2007. Here we ceased the opportunity to buy a traditional farmhouse with some lovely features. Like so many abandoned houses in the Italian countryside this house also needs extensive restoration. The fact that is has been uninhabited for the past 30 years is, to say the least, a challenge. We would like to transform the, just over 2 hectares, land into a small campsite and apart from that we will be planting an olive grove, an orchard and a vineyard. There will also be an extensive vegetable garden, where ,with respect to nature, we will grow a variety of crops. These will be used in the dishes served in our restaurant and will also be available in our shop. We aim to be as self sufficient as possible; we have solar panels for hot water and photovoltaic cells to produce electricity. |
